How to reach Abisko tourist station from Stockholm

By train: From Stockholm Central railway station there are two trains for Abisko leaving on Wednesday 12 October (run by the train company SJ).

Departure from Stockholm at 15.59. Arrival at Abisko turiststation at 10.58 the following day.

Departure from Stockholm at 22.40. Arrival at Abisko turistation at 16.47 the following day (recommended). This connection includes a change of trains at Boden at 11.04 in the morning of 13 October.

 

By air and train:  SAS flight from Stockholm Arlanda airport to Kiruna, Thursday 13 October:

Departure from Arlanda at 11.30. Arrival at Kiruna 13.00

Bus from Kiruna airport to Kiruna town centre leaves ca 30 min after arrival of plane. The bus ride takes about 20 min. Short walk to the railway station.

Train (SJ) from Kiruna to Abisko turiststation:

Departure from Kiruna at 15.27. Arrival at Abisko turistation at 16.47

 

By car: Abisko is situated about 1330 km N of Stockholm, and 96 km NW of Kiruna. You reach Abisko by highway E10 from Kiruna (road towards Narvik).

 

Return travel from Abisko to Stockholm

By train: There are two departures from Abisko turiststation on Sunday 16 October.

Departure from Abisko turiststation at 12.09. Arrival at Stockholm at 06.31 the following day. This connection includes a change of trains at Boden at 17.09.

Departure from Abisko turiststation at 16.36. Arrival at Stockholm at 10.23 the following day.

 

By train and air:  There are two options on Sunday 16 October.

Train. Departure from Abisko turiststation at 12.09. Arrival at Kiruna at 13.36.
SAS flight from Kiruna airport to Stockholm Arlanda airport:
Departure from Kiruna at 17.05. Arrival at Stockholm Arlanda at 18.35

Train. Departure from Abisko turiststation at 16.36. Arrival at Kiruna at 18.00.
SAS flight from Kiruna airport to Stockholm Arlanda airport:
Departure from Kiruna at 19.55. Arrival at Stockholm Arlanda at 21.25
