SVENSKA VÄXTGEOGRAFISKA SÄLLSKAPET

Stipendiefonder

Vi vill erinra om möjligheten att söka forskningsstipendier hos Svenska växtgeografiska sällskapet. Det gäller Bertil Lundmans fond för botaniska studier och Bertil Lundmans fond för antropologiska studier.

Announcement of scholarships from B. Lundman's Fund for Botanical Studies

The Fund promotes research in plant ecology and plant geography in the following order of priority: research on (1) Sweden, (2) other Nordic countries, (3) other geographical areas.

Scholarships are primarily awarded to members of the Swedish Phytogeographical Society, as well as to researchers and postgraduate students connected to the department of plant ecology and evolution at Uppsala University.

Grants are awarded for travel, equipment and publication related to the research.

The application must contain a project description, information on previous research results, cost estimates, information about whether funds have been applied for elsewhere and a CV. Supervisor is mentioned if appropriate.

The Board of the Society decides on the granting of scholarships before the Society’s annual meeting.

Research results, obtained from scholarships, shall be published in Acta Phytogeographica Suecica, if the Board of Directors of the Society so wishes.

A research and financial report shall be submitted to the Board of the Society no later than 1 September of the year following the granting of a scholarship. If reporting is not done, no further scholarships will be granted.

The maximum amount is SEK 30,000 per application. Application should be provided in four copies + an electronic copy in pdf format, no later than 31 January 2018.

The Fund promotes research in physical anthropology in a traditional sense in the following order of priority: research on (1) Sweden, (2) other Nordic countries, (3) other geographical areas.

Scholarships may also be awarded for biographical work on Bertil Lundman’s research and life.

Grants are awarded for travel, equipment and publication related to the research.
